Buttery shortbread base topped with soft homemade caramel and smooth dark chocolate.
Step 1: Combine butter, flour and sugar then press into a square pan. Chill for 30 mins.
Step 2: Boil the sugar, butter and golden syrup until frothy. Add condensed milk.
Step 3: Pour caramel over the shortbread base and let cool completely before adding the chocolate.
Step 4: Melt the chocolate in the microwave and mix with a little vegetable oil. .
Step 5: Pour chocolate over the cold caramel. Sprinkle with salt. Let set
Step 6: Use a hot knife to cut perfect slices
