Fudgy Brownies

Rich chocolate brownies with a soft, gooey center.

Melt the chocolate and butter and stir together.

Step 1

Whip the eggs and sugar together until pale and thick.

Step 2

Mix the melted chocolate and the vanilla into the egg mixture.

Step 3

Fold the flour into the batter until it is free from lumps.

Step 4

Pour the brownie batter into a square pan, spreading it into the corners.

Step 5

Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top of the brownies look dry and shiny.

Step 6

Leave the brownies to cool in the pan completely, then cut into 9 or 12 sqaures.
