Custard Donuts

Soft, fluffy, and stuffed full with delicious homemade custard - these Custard Donuts are a delicious treat.

You'll Need: Eggs Milk Sugar Butter Flour Vanilla Yeast

Step 1: Heat milk, vanilla and sugar then slowly add to the egg yolks to make custard.

Step 2: The custard is ready when you can coat a spoon and draw a line in it.

Step 3: Combine the donut ingredients and knead until a smooth dough forms. Let prove for 2 hours.

Step 4:  Roll to an inch thick and cut out rounds. Let prove for another 45 minutes.

Step 5:  Heat frying oil to 350°F and fry donuts for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Step 6:  Roll donuts in sugar while they are still hot.

Step 7:  Pipe cooled custard into the donuts so they are nice and full.
