Chocolate Mousse Pie

Real chocolate mousse with silky texture and intense chocolate flavor inside a flaky pie crust, topped with ganache.

You'll Need: Dark Chocolate Egg Whites Heavy Cream Sugar Vanilla Salt Pie Crust

Step 1: Make the pie crust and fully bake it until it's golden brown.  (Or sub for a graham cracker/Oreo crust for no-bake version)

Step 2:  Heat the cream and vanilla until scalding and pour over chopped chocolate to make chocolate ganache. .

Step 3: Whisk the egg whites and sugar over a double boiler until it reaches 160°F or until it is no longer grainy.

Step 4:  Transfer to a mixer and whip until stiff peaks form and it is no longer warm to the touch.

Step 5:  Gently fold the meringue into the ganache in three parts.

Step 6:  Pour chocolate mousse into the pie crust and top with remaining ganache.
