Cannoli Shells

Homemade cannoli shells are the best.  Flaky, crunchy and with those famous bubbles.

You'll Need: Flour Sugar Butter Egg Marsala Wine Oil (for frying)

Step 1: Mix the dry ingredients with the butter and combine until it looks like breadcrumbs.

Step 2: Add egg and marsala wine and mix until a rough dough forms.

Step 3: Knead dough by hand until smooth, then wrap in plastic and let prove for 2 hours.

Step 4:  Roll extremely thinly and cut out rounds.

Step 5:  Wrap around cannoli tubes, sealing with egg wash.

Step 6:  Fry at 350°F, using tongs to turn and cook both sides evenly.

Step 7:  Remove from the tubes and let cool.

Step 7:  Fill with your favourite filling (like this pistachio one).
