    Classic Buttercream

    Classic Buttercream

    Course Frostings & Toppings
    Servings 1 batch

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 cup Shortening
    • 1 cup Butter
    • 8 cups Icing Sugar
    • ½ cup Milk
    • 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
    • ½ teaspoon Salt

    Instructions
     

    • Beat the butter and shortening together until creamy
    • Add in the icing sugar, milk, vanilla and salt and beat on high until the mixture is pale and airy, it should also increase in volume
    • Use right away or store and beat again for a few minutes before using
